ABOUT THIS WINE
Oragech is a unique skin-macerated white wine from Milan Nestarec, produced in the Morava region of the Czech Republic. This wine was specifically created as a special cuvée for the Swedish importer, Wine Waves, who requested a juicy and zesty skin-contact wine. The blend includes Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pálava, and Traminer, with the Pinot Blanc providing elegance and structure, Sauvignon Blanc adding zest, and Pálava and Traminer contributing aromatic notes. The wine undergoes gentle skin maceration, resulting in a subtle orange hue and nuanced flavors. Milan Nestarec's winemaking philosophy emphasizes organic production and continuous improvement, reflecting the character of the Achtele vineyard in Moravský Žižkov. The label art for Oragech is a collaboration with the Swedish design firm Museum Studio.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Oragech is produced using organic viticulture practices. The key winemaking technique involves gentle skin maceration of a blend of Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Pálava, and Traminer grapes. This process is designed to impart a subtle orange color and nuanced flavors without excessive extraction. Following maceration, the wine is aged for over a year in old barrels, allowing for integration and development. The harvest for the 2024 vintage occurred in August. Milan Nestarec's approach is rooted in his 'Kaizen' philosophy, emphasizing continuous improvement, experimentation, and organic production to create wines that reflect their origin.
