ABOUT THIS WINE
Oreno Toscana Rosso IGT is the flagship wine of Tenuta Sette Ponti, a family-owned estate in Tuscany. The wine is named after the Oreno river that crosses the property. It was conceived in 1999 with the ambition to create an elegant Bordeaux-style blend that also reflects a Tuscan identity. The estate, founded in the 1950s, takes its name from the seven bridges crossing the Arno River. Tenuta Sette Ponti emphasizes a meticulous, labor-intensive approach to winemaking, including a 'double-handmade selection' of grapes. Oreno is recognized as a Super Tuscan, known for its powerful structure, complexity, and elegance, blending international grape varieties with a distinct Tuscan character. The 2021 vintage is highlighted for its aromatic richness and deep flavor.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Oreno Toscana Rosso IGT is produced by Tenuta Sette Ponti using a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. The grapes are sourced from vines with an average age of up to 75 years, grown in vineyards exposed to the south. Viticultural practices include hand-picking and a 'double-handmade selection' process to ensure grape quality. The wine is described as organic. Following harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation, with traditional methods implied. The wine is then aged for 24 months in large wooden barrels (botte grande), followed by refinement in small wooden barrels (barriques).
