ABOUT THIS WINE
The P.Lex Langhe Nebbiolo is a red wine from the Langhe DOC in Piedmont, Italy, produced by Cantina Terre del Barolo. This cooperative winery, established in 1958, brings together over 300 wine growers who manage more than 600 hectares of vineyards within the Langhe region. The wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, grown on vines with an average age of 20-25 years in soils composed of clay, calcareous, and sandy elements. Vineyards are located at elevations up to 600 meters. The Langhe DOC classification allows for Nebbiolo grapes that may also be used for Barolo and Barbaresco, but are vinified differently, offering a distinct expression of the grape and region. The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October, benefiting from the region's characteristic early autumn fog which aids in slow ripening.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The P.Lex Langhe Nebbiolo is produced using traditional red wine fermentation techniques, with a maceration period lasting 10 days. This process is followed by aging in stainless steel tanks, a method chosen to maintain the wine's inherent fruit purity and acidity. The grapes are sourced from vineyards with an average vine age of 20-25 years, situated on clay, calcareous, and sandy soils at elevations up to 600 meters. The harvest typically occurs in the first ten days of October, a period influenced by the region's fog banks that promote slow grape ripening.
