ABOUT THIS WINE
Parcela Mandiles is a single-vineyard Monastrell from Viña Elena Bodega, located in the D.O. Jumilla region of Murcia, Spain. The vines for this wine were planted 65 years ago and feature a distinctive north-facing orientation of their bases, a technique designed to shield the roots from scarce rainfall. Viña Elena Bodega, a family-run winery established in 1948, is dedicated to producing terroir-driven wines, with a particular emphasis on the Monastrell grape. This wine is part of their collection that highlights specific vineyard sites within Jumilla, aiming to express the unique characteristics of the region's climate and geology.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes for Parcela Mandiles are harvested by hand. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures (24-26 °C) using natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation takes place in concrete vats. The wine then undergoes a 7-month aging period in concrete vats, without any oak influence. This process is designed to highlight the purity of the Monastrell grape and the expression of its vineyard origin.
