Perlato del Bosco is a Toscana IGT red wine produced by Tua Rita, a winery established in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti in Suvereto, Alta Maremma, Tuscany. Initially a passion project, Tua Rita became known for its commitment to quality and organic farming. The 2021 vintage is exclusively made from Sangiovese grapes, a departure from some previous vintages. The winery's philosophy centers on the belief that wine quality originates in the vineyard, with minimal intervention in the cellar.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2021 Perlato del Bosco undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for about 10 days at controlled temperatures (18-26°C). Maceration lasts for 25-30 days with pumpovers. Malolactic fermentation follows, after which the wine is aged for 12 months in a mix of French oak barriques and large barrels (2-3 years old). A final 6 months of bottle aging precedes release.
