ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine Des Pasquiers Plan De Dieu 2022 is a red wine from the Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu AOC in the Rhône Valley, France. The appellation's name, 'Plain of God,' hints at its powerful and generous wines, shaped by a terroir of red clay and rolled pebbles at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The grapes are organically grown on vines averaging 30 years old, contributing to the wine's concentrated nature. Domaine des Pasquiers, owned by the Lambert family for four generations since 1935, is committed to respecting the vines and fruit, with a focus on organic viticulture.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Domaine Des Pasquiers Plan De Dieu 2022 involves the separate vinification of its Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault grape varieties. Fermentation occurs in concrete tanks with maceration lasting between 20 to 25 days, or up to 30 days for specific cuvées, at temperatures around 25°C. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for 12 months, with some portions maturing in concrete tanks and others in Bordeaux barrels. The grapes are organically grown, harvested with sorting at the vine, and fully destemmed prior to fermentation.
