ABOUT THIS WINE
Tenuta Le Colonne Plenum 2021 is an IGT Costa Toscana red wine from Tuscany, Italy. Produced by Tenuta Le Colonne, it is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. The vineyards are located near the coast, about 40 km from the sea, at an altitude of 50 meters, on sandy soils with stones. The producer, Tenuta Le Colonne, is situated in the Bolgheri area and is owned by Alejandro Bulgheroni, with a commitment to organic farming and sustainable practices. The 2021 vintage in Tuscany experienced a warm, dry summer with cool nights, which aided in maintaining grape acidity and aromatic profiles.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Tenuta Le Colonne Plenum 2021 is produced using spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in tapered cement vats for 13-15 days at around 28°C. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging for approximately 12 months in large, untoasted oak barrels, with a further 3 months of bottle aging. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. The winery employs environmentally-friendly and organic farming practices.
