ABOUT THIS WINE
Portal Dry White Porto is produced by Quinta do Portal, a family-owned estate with a four-generation history in the Douro Valley. The estate was among the first to recognize and develop the potential for high-quality dry wines from this renowned region. In 2024, Quinta do Portal was acquired by The Fladgate Partnership, a significant entity in the Port wine industry. The wine is made from a blend of Malvasia fina, Gouveio, and Moscatel grapes, cultivated in the Cima-Corgo sub-region of the Douro.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Portal Dry White Porto begins with the gentle pressing of hand-harvested and sorted grapes. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks to retain freshness. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels for approximately two years. This process aims to develop a nuanced character, integrating subtle oak influences with the inherent qualities of the Malvasia fina, Gouveio, and Moscatel grapes.
