ABOUT THIS WINE
The Pouilly-Fumé « Domaine Patrice Moreux » is a testament to generations of winemaking heritage in the Loire Valley, France. The Moreux family, with roots deeply embedded in the region, received the domaine as a wedding present to Patrice's parents, a union of the Moreux and Corty families, hence the "Corty" reference on the label. Patrice Moreux has steered the domaine since 1972, and his twin sons, Arnaud and Julien, have taken the reins since 2009 and 2011 respectively. Their shared philosophy is simple: "to make the wine they love." This commitment to tradition and passion is evident in their approach to viticulture and winemaking, always working with the moon and natural yeasts, producing a classic expression of Pouilly-Fumé from the villages of Les Loges and Saint-Andelain.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking at Domaine Patrice Moreux emphasizes limited intervention, respecting the natural expression of the terroir. In the vineyards, the soil is carefully ploughed, and organic fertilizers are applied only when deemed necessary. Grapes are gently pressed using pneumatic presses, ensuring the purity of the juice. Fermentation is spontaneous, relying solely on the natural yeasts present on the grapes, a practice the family has upheld for generations. The wine is then aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel (INOX) tanks, resting on a fine layer of lees to enhance texture and complexity. The entire vinification process is guided by the lunar cycle, reflecting the domaine's deep connection to natural rhythms.
