ABOUT THIS WINE
Cà Maiol, situated on the southern shores of Lake Garda, was founded in 1967 by Walter Contato. The estate has been a key force in drawing international attention to the Lugana appellation. The 'Prestige' bottling is the estate's signature white wine, crafted to showcase the unique properties of the local Turbiana grape (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana). The vineyards thrive in a highly specific microclimate characterized by mild lake breezes and fertile, lime-rich clay soils deposited by ancient glaciers, which impart a distinct mineral complexity to the wine.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a soft, gentle pressing to preserve delicate primary aromatics. Fermentation takes place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to maintain freshness and varietal purity. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel for several months, adding subtle texture and complexity before being stabilized, filtered, and bottled.
