ABOUT THIS WINE
Psi 2021 is a red wine from Bodegas y Viñedos Alnardo, produced in the DO Ribera del Duero region of Spain. The wine is a blend primarily of Tempranillo, with a notable contribution from Garnacha. The project was initiated by Peter Sisseck, renowned for Dominio de Pingus, with the goal of showcasing the unique character of numerous small vineyard parcels across the region. This approach emphasizes terroir and the preservation of ancient vines managed by local winegrowers. The name 'Psi' reflects a connection to the soul of the wine and the psychological aspect of winemaking.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Psi 2021 involves meticulous attention to detail, starting with the selection of grapes from over 600 small parcels. Grapes undergo optical laser sorting before being fermented in various types of tanks, allowing for precise control over each small lot. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, predominantly second and third use. This approach is guided by a philosophy of perfection, respect for nature, and a deep understanding of the unique terroirs within Ribera del Duero. The project also incorporates sustainability practices, with an emphasis on organic and biodynamic viticulture.
