ABOUT THIS WINE
Psi is an innovative, community-driven project conceived by Peter Sisseck, the legendary winemaker behind Dominio de Pingus, and viticulturist Pablo Rubio. Established in the Ribera del Duero region, Bodegas y Viñedos Alnardo was created to protect and revitalize the region's heritage of old-vine viticulture. By partnering with hundreds of local growers, Sisseck and Rubio encourage organic and biodynamic farming practices, paying premium prices to ensure these historic, high-altitude micro-plots are preserved rather than uprooted. The result is a wine that serves as a collective voice for the region's traditional terroirs.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Psi focuses on minimal intervention and the preservation of fresh fruit character. Grapes are sourced from over 600 small, fragmented grower plots situated at elevations between 800 and 950 meters. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats using indigenous yeasts to highlight the natural expression of the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Garnacha grapes. The wine is then aged for approximately 18 months in a combination of concrete tanks and large, used French oak foudres and barrels previously used for Pingus. This deliberate choice minimizes dominant oak influence, allowing the pure, mineral-driven terroir to shine.
