ABOUT THIS WINE
Claus Preisinger is a pioneering biodynamic winemaker based on the north shore of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland, Austria. Known for his low-intervention approach, Preisinger focuses on capturing the raw energy and unique terroir of his native region. Puszta Libre! is a playful, light-hearted homage to the traditional, easy-drinking tavern wines of Burgenland. The name itself is a clever pun combining the classic 'Cuba Libre' cocktail with the 'Puszta'—the vast, flat Hungarian plains whose warm winds heavily influence the local microclimate.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested from biodynamically farmed vineyards. In the cellar, the Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and large neutral oak casks. The maceration period is kept very short to extract bright fruit flavors and minimal tannins, resulting in an incredibly fresh, light-bodied profile. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions, preserving its vibrant, natural character.
