The Quantico project, founded by Giovanni Raiti and his wife Vera, aims to express the natural equilibrium of energy and matter in wine, drawing inspiration from quantum physics. The vineyards are situated on the northeastern slopes of Mount Etna, benefiting from the unique volcanic terroir. This particular vintage was produced in an extremely limited quantity of just 125 cases and is made with minimal intervention, including fermentation with indigenous yeasts and no added sulfur.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The 2015 Quantico Etna Rosso is crafted using a philosophy of minimal intervention. The grapes undergo a pre-fermentation soak before fermenting with indigenous yeasts, entirely without the addition of sulfur. Maturation occurs over 12 months, utilizing a mix of old barriques, tonneaux (50%), and stainless steel tanks (50%). The vineyards are managed following organic principles, eschewing fertilizers and pesticides. The producer, Giovanni Raiti, aims to create wines that are a pure expression of the volcanic terroir and the indigenous grape varieties, reflecting a balance of energy and matter.
