ABOUT THIS WINE
The Quinta do Pinto Arinto 2018 is a white wine from the DOC Alenquer appellation in Portugal's Lisboa Wine Region, crafted from 100% Arinto grapes. The winery, Quinta do Pinto, is a woman-owned estate run by sisters Rita and Ana Cardoso Pinto, who are dedicated to showcasing indigenous Portuguese grape varieties. Their philosophy emphasizes vineyard-driven winemaking, with a focus on minimal intervention to allow the grape's natural potential to express itself. The vineyard's location on south-facing slopes, protected by the Montejunto mountain range and influenced by the Tejo river, contributes to the wine's distinctive character. This wine stands out for its notable mid-palate concentration and a unique creaminess, a signature of Quinta do Pinto's white wines, while maintaining a refreshing balance.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Quinta do Pinto Arinto 2018 is produced using 100% Arinto grapes. The winemaking process begins with a manual harvest and selection of grape bunches. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperatures. Notably, 10% of the juice is fermented and aged for five months in used French oak barrels, contributing to the wine's texture and complexity. The winery adheres to sustainable practices, holding certification for Produção Integrada.
