ABOUT THIS WINE
Bodegas Quitapenas, founded in 1880, is one of the historic cathedrals of wine in the Málaga D.O. Located in southern Spain, the winery utilizes the sun-drenched Moscatel de Alejandría grapes grown in the slate-rich soils of the Axarquía region and the northern zone of Málaga. This golden elixir represents centuries of Andalusian winemaking tradition, capturing the warmth and coastal influence of the Mediterranean.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Quitapenas Dorado is crafted from late-harvested Moscatel de Alejandría grapes. The grapes undergo controlled fermentation which is arrested by the addition of wine alcohol (fortification) to retain the natural grape sugars. It is then aged using traditional oxidative methods in seasoned oak casks, allowing the wine to develop its characteristic deep golden color, complex aromas, and smooth, luscious texture.
