ABOUT THIS WINE
The Racines Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée Pinot Noir 2018 is a red wine from California, produced by Racines Wine. It is a collaboration between French winemaking families, including Étienne de Montille of Domaine de Montille and Rodolphe Péters of Champagne Pierre Péters, and Californian winemaker Justin Willett. The wine originates from the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, a region known for its cool climate suitable for Pinot Noir. This project represents the winemakers' first venture outside of France, with a philosophy focused on crafting wines of purity and transparency that reflect the unique terroir of the Sta. Rita Hills.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Racines Sta. Rita Hills Cuvée Pinot Noir 2018 is produced using native yeast fermentations and whole-cluster fermentation techniques. The wine undergoes an extended aging process (élevage) in French oak barrels for 11 months, followed by 5 months in tank. The winemakers prioritize minimal intervention throughout the process, aiming to craft wines that reflect the purity and transparency of the Sta. Rita Hills terroir. Farming practices include organic and biodynamic methods.
