ABOUT THIS WINE
Rafinelli Barbaresco is a modern-styled expression of Piedmont's legendary Nebbiolo grape, conceived by Norwegian wine entrepreneur Per-Christian Soerlie. Founded in 2017, the Rafinelli project aims to challenge the traditional, often unapproachable nature of young Barbaresco. By bridging the gap between complex terroir and early accessibility, this wine offers a more versatile, fruit-forward profile that does not require decades of cellaring to enjoy, while still honoring the prestigious DOCG regulations of the Langhe region.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are hand-harvested from estate vineyards in the Barbaresco DOCG zone. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve clean fruit expression and avoid over-extraction. In compliance with DOCG regulations, the wine is aged for a minimum of 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by additional refinement in the bottle prior to commercial release, ensuring a total aging period of at least 26 months.
