ABOUT THIS WINE

The Roero region is characterized by its distinctive soils, including sandy marl and clay, which contribute to the wine's profile. The Arneis grape itself is significant, having faced near extinction before its revival, and is now a symbol of the region's resilience. WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Rånäs Slott Ricossa Roero Arneis involves harvesting grapes typically in mid-September, with manual harvesting also being a possibility. Following harvest, the grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled low temperatures. This is followed by cold stabilization. The wine is then aged in stainless steel for a period of 4-5 months. After aging, it is bottled in late spring. Some producers may also age the wine on fine lees to add complexity.
