ABOUT THIS WINE
Real Agrado Reserva hails from the prestigious D.O.Ca. Rioja, specifically the Aldeanueva de Ebro area within Rioja Oriental, Spain. The journey of Real Agrado began in 1974 with the planting of 100 hectares of vineyards in a prime location. For three decades, their exceptional grapes contributed to other renowned wines. However, in 2005, the vision shifted, and Real Agrado built its own winery amidst these very vineyards, embarking on a mission to craft wines that truly express the unique personality of their terroir. Since 2018, the winery has been part of the esteemed El Gaitero group. Real Agrado prides itself on being an estate winery, meticulously controlling every step of the production process "from vine to bottle." This commitment is proudly displayed on their labels with the inscription "VIÑEDOS EN PROPIEDAD," certifying that only their own grapes are used, ensuring consistency and a genuine reflection of their land.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Real Agrado Reserva is crafted from grapes grown in the winery's own 100 hectares of vineyards, situated on a diverse mix of clay-limestone, alluvial, and clay-ferrous soils. The winery employs sustainable and environmentally-friendly viticultural practices. Following harvest, the wine undergoes a meticulous vinification process. The Reserva is aged for 18 months in a combination of American and French oak barrels, with regular rackings occurring every six months to refine its structure and integrate the oak characteristics. This barrel aging is crucial for developing the wine's complexity and longevity. After its time in oak, the wine undergoes a further minimum of 18 months of maturation in the bottle before its release to the market, allowing the flavors and textures to harmonize and evolve.
