WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Muga Reserva Selección Especial 2020 begins with hand-harvested grapes from the 2020 vintage, which was a warm year. After destemming, half of the grapes are processed through an optical sorting machine. Fermentation takes place in oak vats utilizing indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 26 months in French oak barrels, with some barrels being new. Following barrel aging, the wine is fined using fresh egg whites. Finally, it undergoes a minimum of 18 months of bottle aging before its release.
