ABOUT THIS WINE
Weingut Riedingerhof is a microscopic, family-run craft estate spanning just four hectares in Merano, South Tyrol. Revitalized in 2012 by third-generation grower Hansi Verdorfer, the winery operates under strict organic (Bioland) and biodynamic principles. Hansi acts as a true récoltant-manipulant, managing every step from the high-altitude volcanic soils to the bottling line. The 'LaMa' bottling is crafted from Manzoni Bianco, a rare crossing of Riesling and Pinot Bianco. Grown at 600 meters above sea level, this wine represents a bold, low-intervention departure from the region's conventional, stainless-steel-driven white wines.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for 'LaMa' is defined by minimal intervention and traditional craftsmanship. Hand-harvested grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation using only native vineyard yeasts. Fermentation takes place in ceramic clay amphorae with extended skin contact, allowing the wine to absorb structural complexity and texture. Following fermentation, the wine is matured for 18 months in used large 1,000-liter oak tonneaux. To preserve its raw, natural character and intricate layers, the wine is bottled completely unfined and without filtration.
