ABOUT THIS WINE
The Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile 2018 is a dry white wine from Alsace, France, produced by Maison Trimbach. This cuvée is a reserve wine, named in honor of an ancestor, and is produced only in exceptional years. It originates from the Grand Cru vineyards of Osterberg and Geisberg in Ribeauvillé, utilizing grapes from vines aged over 50-55 years. The wine represents the Trimbach family's long-standing commitment to crafting structured, long-lived, and balanced Rieslings. The 2018 vintage is noted for its warm and dry conditions, contributing to the wine's concentration and minerality. Maison Trimbach has a history dating back to 1626 and is currently in its 13th generation of family operation, with a focus on producing fruit-driven, elegant, and dry wines. In 2023, Trimbach achieved HVE-3 Organic certification.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile 2018 is produced from hand-harvested, organically grown grapes. The grapes are gently crushed and pressed. Vinification occurs to dryness in stainless steel vats and old casks. Malolactic fermentation is intentionally avoided to maintain freshness and fruit character. The wine is then aged in bottle for several years before release. The 2018 vintage experienced a hot and dry growing season, contributing to the ripeness of the fruit. Maison Trimbach is a family-owned winery with a long history, committed to producing structured, long-lived, and balanced dry Rieslings.
