ABOUT THIS WINE
Domaine Viticole Laurent & Rita Kox, established in 1977 in Remich, is a pioneering estate in Luxembourg's Moselle Valley. Now led by third-generation winemaker Corinne Kox, the estate is highly regarded for its 'retro-innovation' philosophy, blending cutting-edge ecological technologies with ancient, low-intervention winemaking traditions. The Schwebsange Kolteschberg vineyard is situated on steep slopes along the left bank of the Moselle River. Its unique shell limestone (Muschelkalk) and clay soils yield a highly structured, saline, and mineral-driven expression of Riesling that stands apart from the slate-heavy profiles of neighboring German regions.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for this Grand Premier Cru focuses on preserving purity and terroir expression. Grapes are harvested entirely by hand from the steep slopes of Schwebsange Kolteschberg. Following careful sorting, the grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the vibrant, crisp fruit character and linear acidity. To add texture and a subtle, creamy weight to the mid-palate without masking the wine's natural freshness, it is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel vats prior to bottling.
