ABOUT THIS WINE

The cooperative represents a collective effort to improve agricultural practices and promote the identity of Empordà as a wine-producing area, highlighting its landscape and gastronomy. The grapes are cultivated on bush vines in vineyards located near the Cap de Creus mountains.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Robi Garnatxa begins with destemming and gently crushing the Garnatxa grapes. Fermentation and skin maceration take place in stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is intentionally stopped when the wine reaches around 10.5% alcohol and approximately 120 grams of sugar per liter, preserving its sweetness. The wine is then pressed, and grape spirit is added in stages until the final alcohol content is just under 15%. This method of fortification helps to stabilize the wine and enhance its liqueur-like character.
