ABOUT THIS WINE
Tetramythos is a distinctive skin-contact wine crafted from the native Roditis grape in the mountainous Achaia region of the Peloponnese, Greece. Produced with a focus on low-intervention and natural winemaking, this wine reflects the unique high-altitude terroir of the region. The vineyards, cooled by Gulf of Corinth breezes, allow the pink-skinned Roditis grapes to ripen slowly, retaining vibrant acidity and developing complex aromatic profiles. This wine represents a modern revival of ancient Greek winemaking traditions, showcasing the potential of indigenous varieties when treated with minimal intervention.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested by hand from high-altitude vineyards in Achaia. In the cellar, the wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts. It is kept on its skins (skin contact) for an extended period, which imparts its characteristic amber/orange hue and textured mouthfeel. Aging takes place in stainless steel or amphorae to preserve the pure fruit and mineral character of the Roditis grape, with minimal or no added sulfur before bottling, and no fining or filtration.
