ABOUT THIS WINE
Giacomo Fenocchio is an iconic estate based in Monforte d’Alba, globally celebrated for crafting cult-status, ultra-traditional, long-macerated Barolos. Under the guidance of fifth-generation winemaker Claudio Fenocchio, the estate maintains a strict non-interventionist philosophy. While the estate’s heart lies in red Nebbiolo, Claudio acquired a small plot in Roero in 2009, believing in the unique terroir of these sandy, steep hills to produce a white wine of exceptional character and mineral focus.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested in mid-September from 10 to 15-year-old vines in Monteu Roero. After a gentle pressing, the must is immediately refrigerated in stainless steel vats to allow natural settling of the lees. Following 24 to 36 hours, the clear juice is separated and fermented at controlled temperatures. To preserve the natural, crisp acidity of the Arneis grape, malolactic fermentation is blocked. The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for approximately five months before sterile bottling.
