ABOUT THIS WINE
Rose & Arrow Estate represents a groundbreaking intersection of Burgundian winemaking precision and extreme geological study in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Founded in 2012 by the late film producer Mark Tarlov and Louis-Michel Liger-Belair of the legendary Burgundy estate Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, the project set out to identify Oregon's ultimate basalt-driven terroirs. Renowned Chilean terroir expert Pedro Parra dug over 200 soil pits to map the complex underground volcanic seams of the region. 'The Point' is a high-elevation micro-parcel in the Chehalem Mountains where the hillside comes to a head, featuring highly pebbled, iron-rich basalt soils. Today, head winemaker Felipe Ramirez manages the estate, crafting highly limited, terroir-driven wines that showcase the tension and mineral complexity of these unique volcanic soils.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking philosophy at Rose & Arrow focuses on expressing the unique geological signature of each micro-parcel with minimal intervention. Grapes are harvested by hand and largely de-stemmed. Fermentation is carried out using native yeasts. Rather than aggressive extraction, winemaker Felipe Ramirez employs a gentle, oxygen-rich 'infusion' method—akin to steeping with light pump-overs—to preserve the structural purity and delicate aromatics of the Pinot Noir. The wine is aged in French oak barrels sourced directly from Burgundy, with approximately 20% new oak. To maintain its natural texture and complexity, the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
