ABOUT THIS WINE
Rosé d’Azur is crafted by Famille Sumeire, a historic winemaking family in Provence. Sourced from the family's estate, Domaine de Font-Freye, in Pierrefeu-du-Var, this cuvée represents a specialized partnership between legendary vintner Régine Sumeire and her nephew, Roger-Blanc Sumeire. Régine is celebrated as a pioneer of modern, ultra-pale Provence rosés. The estate itself dates back to 1933 when it was acquired by Gabriel Sumeire, who famously brought water back to the property's historic fountain by connecting it to the gravity-fed Font-Freye spring.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The grapes are harvested at optimal technical maturity and immediately undergo direct pressing in a pneumatic press to extract delicate color and juice. Fermentation takes place over two to three weeks in temperature-controlled concrete tanks. Malolactic fermentation is strictly blocked to preserve the natural, vibrant acidity of the fruit. The wine is then aged on its fine lees in concrete and stainless steel tanks to build texture and mouthfeel without any oak influence, followed by a light filtration before bottling.
