ABOUT THIS WINE
The Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage 2017 is a sparkling rosé Champagne from Champagne, France. It is a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay, sourced from the producer's estate vineyards in Cumières and Chouilly. The 2017 vintage was characterized by challenging weather conditions, including frosts and a wet summer, followed by a warm end to August. Roederer utilized a distinctive 'infusion' method for the Pinot Noir, involving a long, gentle maceration to extract ripeness while maintaining freshness. This approach, combined with meticulous selection, defines the wine's character.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Louis Roederer Rosé Vintage 2017 is produced using a blend of 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir undergoes a unique 'infusion' process, a long and gentle maceration to extract color and flavor while maintaining freshness. Some Chardonnay juice is added to this maceration for co-fermentation. Approximately 29% of the wine was vinified in oak casks, and partial malolactic fermentation was employed. The wine was aged for 54 months in bottle on its lees before disgorgement. The dosage is 8 grams per liter.
