WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of the Royal Tokaji Gold Label Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2017 begins with the meticulous hand-selection of Aszú berries affected by noble rot. These highly concentrated berries are then macerated in fermenting must for two days to extract their rich sugars and flavors. Following this, the wine undergoes an extended aging process of over two years in Hungarian oak casks of varying sizes (300L and 500L) within the winery's cool underground cellars. The final blend is carefully crafted, and the wine was bottled in May 2020. The 2017 vintage was characterized by ideal weather conditions for botrytis development, contributing to the wine's exceptional structure and complexity.
