WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Inglenook Rubicon is produced using fruit from various vineyard blocks across the estate on the Rutherford Bench. The 2019 growing season, with its wet winter, cool spring, and warm late summer, allowed for a gradual ripening process, with harvest commencing in mid-September and continuing for 36 days. Following harvest, the wine undergoes fermentation, contributing to its aromatic complexity and ripe tannins. It is then aged for 20 months in 100% French oak barrels, with approximately 74-75% of these being new oak.
