ABOUT THIS WINE
Ruinart Rosé is a non-vintage brut rosé champagne from Maison Ruinart, the oldest champagne house in France, founded in 1729. It is notable for being the first rosé champagne ever produced, originally known as 'Œil de Perdrix'. The wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a portion of Pinot Noir vinified as red wine to impart its characteristic color and structure. Ruinart is renowned for its commitment to Chardonnay and its historic chalk cellars, which provide an ideal environment for aging its wines.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Ruinart Rosé is produced using grapes from prestigious Champagne terroirs, with a blend typically comprising 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay. A portion of the Pinot Noir (18-19%) is vinified as red wine to provide color and structure. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation. The final blend incorporates 20-30% reserve wines from previous vintages, contributing to consistency and complexity. The wine then undergoes aging in Ruinart's chalk cellars for 2-3 years before its release. The dosage is typically around 8-9 g/L.
