WINE MAKING PROCESS
The SAAM Pinotage 2021 is produced from 100% Pinotage grapes harvested from bush vines in the Paarl region. The grapes are sourced from vineyards that rely on dry land viticulture. Vinification involves a two-day period of skin contact to extract color and flavor, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regular pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation is conducted in tanks. A portion of the wine is then aged in 300-liter barrels. The producer, Saam Mountain Vineyards, is committed to ethical viticulture, sustainability, and Fairtrade certification.
