ABOUT THIS WINE
Sambrena Bianco is a distinctive white wine from Tenuta La Novella, an estate with a rich history dating back to a 13th-century monastery in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. The Schneider family, who acquired the estate in 1996, has championed organic and biodynamic farming, with winemaker Simone Zemella overseeing production. This 2023 vintage wine is a unique blend, comprising 50% Sangiovese vinified as a white wine, alongside Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Moscato. The grapes are sourced from 20-year-old organically cultivated vines. The estate's philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, with spontaneous fermentation and bottling aligned with lunar cycles. This approach results in a wine that reflects the unique terroir and the estate's commitment to natural winemaking practices.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Sambrena Bianco 2023 is crafted using a unique blend of grape varietals, including Sangiovese vinified as a white wine, Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Moscato. The grapes are sourced from 20-year-old organically cultivated vines and are hand-harvested. The winemaking process begins with whole-bunch pressing. Fermentation is spontaneous, occurring in ceramic tanks and 500-liter tonneaux, utilizing natural yeasts. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 8 months in neutral oak. It is then bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal added sulfites, reflecting the estate's commitment to natural winemaking and biodynamic principles.
