WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Sandahl Odins horse Riesling 2020 is produced using 100% Rhine Riesling grapes from the Badacsony region. The winemaking process begins with whole bunch pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled, low temperatures, ranging from 6°C to 15°C, over a period of three months. The wine is a blend of the third fraction of pressings from various Rhine Riesling parcels, utilizing selected yeasts specific to the varietal. Following fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel vats. Viticultural practices include medium-high cordon training, short pruning, and strict yield control, with an average of 1.5 kg per vine. Harvest timing is determined by phenolic ripeness, and grapes are hand-harvested.
