Satin Red

Satin Red is the signature and best-selling red wine from Von Stiehl Winery, Wisconsin's oldest licensed winery established in 1967 by Dr. Charles Stiehl. Housed in a historic 1800s brewery building along the Algoma lakeshore, the winery has been operated by the Schmiling family since 1981. This unique wine is crafted from cold-hardy French-American hybrid grapes grown in the lake-moderated vineyards of the Lake Michigan Shore AVA in Michigan, then transported to Algoma for vinification. Originally released under the name 'Robust Red,' it was rebranded in 2003 to 'Satin Red' to better reflect its smooth, velvety, and approachable character, which has made it a beloved regional favorite.
