ABOUT THIS WINE
Schloss Gobelsburg Auslese Grüner Veltliner 2017 is a sweet white wine from Niederösterreich, Austria. Produced by Schloss Gobelsburg, one of the oldest wineries in the Kamptal region with a history dating back to the 12th century, this wine is made exclusively from Grüner Veltliner grapes. The Auslese classification indicates it is a noble sweet wine, produced only in exceptional years when grapes achieve high ripeness through late harvesting, often influenced by noble rot. The estate is managed by Eva and Michael Moosbrugger, who focus on expressing the unique character of the terroir and vintage.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The production of Schloss Gobelsburg Auslese Grüner Veltliner involves late harvesting of grapes to ensure high ripeness. The grapes are then gently pressed using a basket press. Fermentation takes place in either stainless steel or oak vessels. Following fermentation, the wine is matured for a minimum of six months before bottling.
