ABOUT THIS WINE
Serotonin is an orange wine produced by David Kušický in the Central Slovak wine region. It is made from 100% Muscat D'oro grapes, a variety not typically used for orange wines. The wine is a testament to natural winemaking, with spontaneous fermentation on skins and aging in stainless steel tanks. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no added sulfur. David Kušický continues his family's legacy of organic viticulture, established by his grandfather Ján Domin, while infusing his own experimental and modern approach into the winemaking. The wine's distinctive label and name reflect a desire to appeal to a new generation of wine enthusiasts. The vineyards are located in Veľký Krtíš, on volcanic soils at an altitude of 260-340 meters.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Serotonin is produced using 100% Muscat D'oro grapes. The winemaking process involves destemming and crushing the grapes, followed by spontaneous fermentation on the skins in open vats for 10 to 22 days. This extended maceration is characteristic of orange wine production. After fermentation, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees. It is bottled without fining or filtering, and with no added sulfur. The vineyards are managed using certified organic practices, with a focus on minimal intervention, utilizing only copper and sulfur and mechanical weed control. The winery is located in Veľký Krtíš, with vineyards situated on volcanic soils.
