Silène

La Vrille et le Papillon (The Tendril and the Butterfly) was established in 2012 by Géraldine and Méryl Croizier in Valvignères, Ardèche. Méryl, an oenologist whose family has deep roots in the village, returned to the region after working in Madiran and Burgundy. Inspired by natural wine pioneer Gérald Oustric of Domaine Le Mazel, the couple decided to stop supplying the local co-op and dedicate themselves to crafting non-interventionist natural wines. The cuvée Silène is named after the wild flower genus Silene (campion), reflecting the delicate, floral nature of the wine.
