ABOUT THIS WINE
Located in Oslavia, right on the border of Italy and Slovenia, Radikon is a legendary estate that pioneered the modern renaissance of skin-contact white wines (orange wines). Founded by the late Stanko Radikon, the winery is now run by his son Saša. The 'S' line, which includes Slatnik, was introduced by Saša to offer a more approachable, slightly shorter-macerated style of their iconic natural wines, bottled in standard sizes with minimal intervention.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Slatnik is a blend of Chardonnay and Friulano. The grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed, and co-fermented in large oak vats using wild yeasts. The juice remains in contact with the skins for approximately 10 to 14 days, which is shorter than Radikon's flagship line but still imparts a beautiful amber hue and structured tannins. The wine is aged in large oak casks (botti) for about 12 months, followed by stabilization in bottle. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur.
