ABOUT THIS WINE
The Pieropan Soave Classico DOC is a dry white wine from the Veneto region of Italy, produced by the historic Pieropan family. Established in the 1880s, the estate is a pioneer of the Soave appellation, being the first to bottle a wine under the 'Soave' name and later introducing the concept of single-vineyard Soave Classico. The current generation, led by brothers Andrea and Dario Pieropan, upholds a strong commitment to organic farming and expressing the unique terroir of the Soave Classico zone. The grapes are sourced from the estate's hillside vineyards, characterized by volcanic and calcareous soils. The 2024 vintage, despite facing challenging weather, has yielded a wine recognized for its quality and complexity.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Pieropan's Soave Classico DOC begins with hand-harvested grapes, with Trebbiano di Soave picked in mid-September and Garganega in October. The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. The free-run juice undergoes fermentation at controlled low temperatures (14-18°C) in glass-lined cement tanks to maintain freshness. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees in similar tanks for 5 to 9 months. It then rests in the bottle for at least one month before release. The estate employs certified organic farming practices.
