ABOUT THIS WINE
Soave Classico Montesei 2023 from Le Battistelle is a dry white wine made from 100% Garganega grapes. Produced in the Soave Classico DOC appellation within the Veneto region, the wine originates from the family-run estate of Le Battistelle, founded in 2002. The vineyards are located on steep, terraced hillsides in Brognoligo, characterized by volcanic soils. This 'heroic viticulture' is a defining aspect of the estate's production. The 2023 vintage benefited from favorable weather conditions, contributing to the wine's balance and expression of the terroir.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking process for Soave Classico Montesei begins with hand-harvested Garganega grapes that are destemmed and softly pressed. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures over about 20 days. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes aging in stainless steel tanks for 6-8 months on its fine lees, with regular batonnage. This process is designed to maintain the wine's freshness and develop its complexity.
