ABOUT THIS WINE
Soca-Rel is a personal project by Pep Rodríguez, located in the town of Consell in Mallorca. Dedicated to recovering and showcasing the island's nearly forgotten indigenous grape varieties, Pep works on a very small scale with absolute respect for the land. The name 'Soca-Rel' translates to 'trunk and root,' symbolizing a deep connection to Mallorcan viticultural heritage. This red blend highlights local varieties like Escursac, Manto Negro, and Fogoneu, grown organically in the island's characteristic red clay soils mixed with limestone.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The winemaking philosophy at Micro Celler Soca-Rel is defined by minimal intervention and a natural approach. Grapes are harvested manually in small crates to ensure pristine quality. Fermentation occurs spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright, primary fruit characteristics of the native varieties. The wine undergoes minimal filtration and fining before bottling, with only a tiny amount of sulfur added at bottling to maintain stability while respecting the natural expression of the terroir.
