WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Frog's Leap Soil Selection Sauvignon Blanc Concrete Aged is crafted using a distinctive approach focused on purity and terroir expression. Grapes are sourced from certified organic and dry-farmed vineyards in Rutherford, with some vines dating back to 1942. The entire winemaking process, from fermentation to aging, takes place in nine 500-gallon concrete 'eggs.' This method avoids oak influence, allowing the wine's natural fruit characteristics and minerality to dominate. Following fermentation, the wine is aged sur lie for six months to build texture and complexity. It is bottled unfiltered, preserving its natural character. This meticulous process, combined with sustainable viticultural practices, aims to produce a wine that is a true reflection of its origin.
