The Sokol Blosser Bluebird Cuvée Brut Sparkling 2022 is a proprietary blend crafted by Sokol Blosser Winery in Oregon's Willamette Valley. The winery, founded in 1971 by Bill and Susan Sokol Blosser, is a second-generation family-owned estate committed to sustainable practices and expressing the character of their hillside vineyards. The wine's name and label honor the winery's over 20-year support for the Prescott Western Bluebird Recovery Project, with birdhouses maintained on their organically farmed land. The 2022 vintage was shaped by extreme weather patterns, including a historically wet spring and a very warm autumn, which presented challenges but ultimately allowed for successful grape ripening. Sokol Blosser Winery is recognized as a pioneer in the Oregon wine industry, holding USDA organic and B Corp certifications.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Sokol Blosser Bluebird Cuvée Brut Sparkling 2022 is produced using a proprietary blend of Pinot Noir, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Muscat. Primary fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with specialized yeast. The wine then undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle via the traditional method, followed by 12 months of aging *en tirage* starting in April 2023. The harvest for the 2022 vintage occurred between September 22 and October 2. Sokol Blosser Winery is committed to sustainable practices, holding USDA organic and B Corp certifications, and aims to create wines that express the character of their Willamette Valley vineyards.
