ABOUT THIS WINE
Lustau Solera Familiar Amontillado Los Arcos is a non-vintage Amontillado Sherry from the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry y Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda region in Andalusia, Spain. Produced by Bodegas Lustau, it is made from 100% Palomino Fino grapes. The wine's name, 'Los Arcos,' refers to the winery's entrance arches, each dedicated to a family member's wife, reflecting its place in Lustau's Solera Familiar collection, which features wines of special significance to the family. Bodegas Lustau was founded in 1896, initially as an almacenista, before transitioning to bottling its own wines and establishing a reputation for quality and innovation in Sherry production.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Lustau Solera Familiar Amontillado Los Arcos is produced using a dual aging process. It initially undergoes biological aging under a veil of flor yeast, characteristic of Fino Sherry. Following this, it is fortified and subjected to oxidative aging. The wine is aged for an average of 8 years in American oak barrels using the traditional solera and criaderas system, with an equal duration spent under flor and in contact with oxygen. This process takes place in Bodega Emperatriz Eugenia in Jerez de la Frontera.
