ABOUT THIS WINE
The Soltész Egri Csillag Selection 2023 is a dry white wine from the Eger region of Hungary. Egri Csillag, meaning 'Star of Eger,' is a designation for white wines from this area, created to complement the region's renowned red blend, Egri Bikavér. This particular selection is a blend of six grape varieties: Királyleányka (45%), Muscat Ottonel (20%), Olaszrizling (15%), Furmint (8%), Chardonnay (7%), and Sauvignon Blanc (5%). Ostorosbor Zrt., a family winery with over 25 years of history in Eger, produces this wine, aiming to balance large-scale production with family-estate care. The Soltész name likely refers to the family that has managed the winery since 2015.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Soltész Egri Csillag Selection 2023 is produced by Ostorosbor Zrt. using a blend of six grape varieties. Following harvest, the grapes are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. This technique is employed to preserve the delicate aromatic profiles of each varietal. After fermentation, the wines are blended. The resulting blend then undergoes a short maturation period, also typically in stainless steel, to allow for integration before bottling. This process emphasizes freshness and the expression of the individual grape characteristics within the final blend.
