ABOUT THIS WINE
Son Antem Vespre is a red blend from Bodega Son Antem, a family-owned estate established in 2019 on the island of Mallorca, Spain. The wine is classified under the Vi de la Terra Mallorca (IGP Mallorca) appellation. The name 'Vespre' translates to 'evening' in the local Mallorquín dialect. The estate's vineyards are situated in the foothills of the Mallorcan mountains, benefiting from a varied soil composition including iron-rich red clay, limestone, and marl. This wine is presented as a complete expression of the estate's complex geology and Mallorca's maritime influence. The producer is committed to artisanal winemaking practices.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
The Son Antem Vespre 2021 is a red blend produced by Bodega Son Antem. The Syrah grapes were partially destemmed, while the Monastrell grapes were fully destemmed. The wine was aged in a combination of a 3000-liter Austrian oak barrel and stainless steel tanks. Additionally, some Syrah was aged separately in a new 500-liter French oak barrel. The wine was bottled unfiltered in May 2022. The 2021 harvest took place in the latter half of August, under conditions that led to a low-yielding vintage with high natural acidity.
