ABOUT THIS WINE
Henriot Souverain Brut is the historic non-vintage cuvée from Champagne Henriot, a family-owned house established in 1808. Its creation by founder Apolline Henriot marked an early adoption of blending reserve wines from multiple vintages to achieve a complex and balanced expression of Champagne's terroirs. The wine's name, 'Souverain', was given by Ernest Henriot, reflecting the house's historical connections to royal courts. The blend is composed of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, sourced from over 25 crus, with a substantial portion originating from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards across the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims.

WINE MAKING PROCESS
Henriot Souverain Brut is crafted using a multi-cru and multi-vintage blending strategy, a practice initiated by the house's founder. Grapes are fermented separately from each vineyard parcel to preserve individual characteristics. The wine then undergoes an extended aging process on its lees for a minimum of three years, contributing to its complexity and texture. Reserve wines from previous vintages are incorporated to ensure consistency and depth. Harvesting is conducted manually to ensure grape quality.
